RECOMMENDED MOTION: That the Board of Supervisors adopt Resolution No. 2014 -006,
accepting a portion of Mazie Avenue for public use and, subject to improvements, will be included as
part of,the County Maintained Road System.
BACKGROUND:
Summary
The Transportation Department is preparing to improve Mazie Avenue in the Meadowbrook area.
This street has been dedicated to the public but not accepted for public use. This action will officially
accept the dedicated rights -of -way for public use and allow road construction to proceed. After street
improvements are completed, Mazie Avenue will be added to the County Maintained Road System.

RESOLUTION NO. 2014-006
ACCEPTING A PORTION OF MAZIE AVENUE IN THE MEADOWBROOK AREA
(5th Supervisorial District/1st Supervisorial District)
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described road was offered for dedication for public road and
utility purposes by the documents hereinafter - referred to, which offers of dedication have not
been previously accepted for public use by the County of Riverside, now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, FOUND, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on
January 7 , 2014, that this Board accepts the offers of dedication and
recognizes that said road is a public road open for use by the general public;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED that this acceptance is
for the purpose of vesting title in the County of Riverside on behalf of the public for public road
and utility purposes and, subject to improvement, the road will be accepted into the County
Maintained Road System, pursuant to Section 941 of the Streets and Highways Code;
Said road is in Riverside County, California, and is described as follows:
Mazie Avenue (See Exhibit "A ")
Mazie Avenue (30.00 feet wide) as described in Declaration of Dedication, recorded on
August 8, 1974, as Instrument No. 98309, Official Records of the Recorder, Riverside
County, California, and as described in Declaration of Dedication, recorded February 18,
1969, as Instrument No. 15947, Official Records of the Recorder, Riverside County,
California, excepting therefrom that portion accepted by Parcel Map 19037, filed in Book
119, Page 15 of Parcel Maps, Records of Riverside County, California;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED that the Clerk of the
Board is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the
Recorder of the County of Riverside, California.
