SUBJECT: Change the name of Fellowship Lane to Lowman Lane in the Idyllwild Area,
Third Supervisorial District
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2011 -115, Change the name of Fellowship
Lane to Lowman Lane.
BACKGROUND: The Idyllwild Arts School has requested to change the name of Fellowship
Lane within their school campus to Lowman Lane to honor William M. Lowman the retiring
founding head of the Idyllwild Arts School. The road is entirely within the boundary of the
campus and is not a public road. The reason for Board action Is to Inform emergency services of
the change to better facilitate timely responses for fire and police calls, and others in locating
the proper street.

CHANGE THE NAME OF FELLOWSHIP LANE TO LOWMAN LANE
IN THE IDYLLWILD AREA OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY
(THIRD SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 970.5 of the Streets and Highways Code, a
public hearing after due notice has been held upon a resolution of intention to change
the name of Fellowship Lane, from the intersection of Temecula Road and
Fellowship Lane, southeasterly to the southeasterly intersection of Pearson Circle and
Fellowship Lane, on the campus of the Idyllwild Arts School, within Section 14,
Township 5 South, Range 2 East, to Lowman Lane, as shown on attached Exhibit
"A ", Third Supervisorial District, and all persons having had an opportunity to be
heard; now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session
assembled on July 12 , 2011, that the name of Fellowship Lane be
changed to Lowman Lane.

BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk of this
