10 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 970.5 of the Streets and Highways Code, a
11 public hearing after due notice has been held upon a resolution of intention to change
12 the name of Frances Way, lying easterly of Washington Street, within Section 30,
13 Township 4 South, Range 7 East, to Coyote Song Way, as shown on attached
14 Exhibit "A", Fourth Supervisorial District, and all persons having had an opportunity to
15 be heard; now, therefore;

18 BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of
19 Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session
20 assembled on May 19, 2009, that the name of Frances Way be
21 changed to Coyote Song Way.

SUBJECT: Change the Name of Frances Way to Coyote Song Way,
in the Sun City Del Webb area, Fourth Supervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No.2009 --046 Changing the Name of Frances
Way to Coyote Song Way.
BACKGROUND: The Sheriff's Department has requested this street name change because
there are two roads in close proximity with very similar names, one in the Indio area, Francis
Avenue, and one in the Sun City Del Webb area, Frances Way. Frances Way was selected
because the change would have the least amount of negative impact since it does not have any
resident or business addresses that would need to be changed. The eight adjacent property
owners have been notified of the proposed name change and were given the opportunity to
suggest a new name for the street. Two responses were received with suggestions for new
names. All suggested names were submitted to the County GIS for review and the name
selected was Coyote Song Way.
