SUBJECT: Summarily vacating the right to accept a portion of an unnamed road in the Pinyon
Pines area, Fourth Supervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2009 -292, summarily vacating the right to
accept a portion of an unnamed road in the Pinyon Pines area.
BACKGROUND: The applicant is requesting to vacate the easterly portion of an unnamed road,
as shown on Parcel Map No. 27742 (PM 184144 -45). This easterly 33 feet is a reservation for
road purposes per of a government patent which has not been accepted for public use. The
topography is such that building a roadway is not feasible. The Transportation Department has
reviewed the vacation and has no objection. No access will be eliminated to any parcel.

SUMMARILY VACATING THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT A PORTION OF AN UNNAMED
ROAD IN PINYON PINE AREA

(Fourth Supervisorial District)
WHEREAS, the hereinafter- described portion of an unnamed road was
reserved for public road purposes by the document hereinafter - referenced, which
reservation has not been previously accepted for public use by the County of
Riverside;
WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portion of an unnamed road is not
necessary and is excess Right of Way, and not required for public street or highway
purposes, now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session
assembled on October 27 , 2009, as follows:
1. Pursuant to Section 8334(a) of the Streets and Highways Code that
the hereinafter- described portion of an unnamed road is excess Right of Way
and is no longer required for public street and highway purposes and is hereby
summarily vacated.

3 Said road is in the County of Riverside, State of California and is described as follows;

5 UNNAMED ROAD (See Exhibit "A ")
6 All of the easterly 33.00 feet, excepting the southerly 30.00 feet, of the
7 unnamed road, per Government Patent No. 1133956 recorded November 11, 1952, in
8 Book 1416, page 146, Official Records of Riverside County, California;

10 EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the vacation an easement for any existing
11 public utilities and public service facilities, together with the right to maintain, operate,
12 replace, remove, or renew such facilities, pursuant to section 8340 of the Streets and
13 Highways Code.

15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk
16 of the Board is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in
17 the office of the Recorder of the County of Riverside, California.
