SUBJECT: Summarily vacating a portion of Mc Kimball Road, in the Mead Valley area, First
Supervisorial District
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2008 -021, summarily vacating a portion of
Mc Kimball Road.
BACKGROUND: The requested vacation of this portion of Mc Kimball Road right of way is
consistent with a previously approved vacation, which vacated the northerly extension of Mc
Kimball Road, instrument number 324184, recorded September 5, 1997. This portion of Mc
Kimball Road does not currently have a constructed roadway, and access will not be eliminated
to any parcel.

WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described Mc Kimball Road was dedicated on
Parcel Map 28583, Book 191, pages 3 through 5 inclusive, of Parcel Maps and
Instrument number 120356, recorded May 23, 1986, on file in the Office of the
Recorder of Riverside County, California;
WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described Mc Kimball Road is not necessary and is
excess Right of Way, and not required for public street or highway purposes, now,
therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session
assembled on February 26 , 2008, as follows:
1. Pursuant to Section 8334(a) of the Streets and Highways Code
that the hereinafter- described Mc Kimball Road is excess Right of Way
and is no longer required for public street and highway purposes and is
hereby summarily vacated.

EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the vacation an easement for any existing
public utilities and public service facilities, together with the right to maintain, operate,
replace, remove, or renew such facilities, pursuant to section 8340 of the Streets and
Highways Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk
of the Board is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in
the office of the Recorder of the County of Riverside, California.
ADOPTED by Riverside County Board of Supervisors on February 26, 2008.
