SUBJECT: Summarily vacating a portion of 34th Street in the Rubidoux area, Second
Supervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2008-117, summarily vacating a portion
of 34 Street in the Rubidoux area.
BACKGROUND: The property owner has requested this portion of 34 th Street to be vacated.
The property owner originally dedicated ten feet along the southerly side of 34 Street for street
improvements. The Transportation Department has determined five of the ten feet to be excess
right of way and has no objection to vacating this portion of W Street. No access will be
eliminated from any parcels.

n WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portions of 34 Street were dedicated for
10 public road and utility purposes per Instrument No. 543205 and Instrument No.
11 543207 recorded on December 15, 1998, on file in the Office of the Recorder of
12 Riverside County, California;

14 WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portions of 30 Street are not necessary
15 and are excess Right of Way, and not required for public street or highway purposes,
16 now, therefore,

18 BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of
19 Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session
20 assembled on March 11 , 2008, as follows:

22 1. Pursuant to Section 8334(x) of the Streets and Highways Code that
23 the hereinafter - described portions of 34 Street are excess Right of Way and
24 are no longer required for public street and highway purposes and is hereby
25 summarily vacated.

11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk
12 of the Board is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in
13 the office of the Recorder of the County of Riverside, California

Being portions of Parcel 0828 -008 of Instrument No. 543205 and Parcel 0828 -001 of
Instrument No. 543207, in the County of Riverside, State of California recorded
December 15, 1998, Records of said Riverside County, lying within Section 15,
Township 2 South, Range 5 West, San Bernardino Meridian, said portions being
described as follows:
Parcel A
The southwesterly 5.00 feet of said Parcel 0828 -008.
Parcel B
COMMENCING at the most westerly comer of said Parcel 0828 -001, said comer also
being on the southeasterly right -of -way line of Crestmore Road (40.00 feet wide) as
shown on Record of Survey recorded in Book 38 Page 80, records of said County;
Thence South 59° 49' 00" East along the southwesterly line of Instrument No. 013938
recorded November 30, 1992, a distance of 10.14 feet;
Thence North 20° 24'27" East along the southeasterly right -of -way line of said
Crestmore Road, a distance of 76.62 feet to the beginning of tangent curve, concave
