RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2008 -120, accepting Horseshoe Trail and
Purple Sage Trail for public road and utility purposes, but not into the County Maintained Road
System.
BACKGROUND: Carmen and Ruben Quinonez, through their surveyor Ian Wilson, are
requesting the acceptance of these previously dedicated road easements. The acceptance is a
Condition of Approval for Tentative Parcel Map 32894.

ACCEPTING A PORTION OF HORSESHOE TRAIL AND PURPLE SAGE TRAIL ROAD
EASEMENTS, IN THE JUNIPER FLATS AREA, FOR PUBLIC USE.
(Fifth Supervisorial District)
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portion of Horseshoe Trail and Purple Sage
Trail were offered for dedication for public road and utility purposes by Parcel Map 3227,
Book 53, pages 55 through 57 inclusive, of Parcel Maps, by Parcel Map 3447, Book 56,
pages 37 through 39 inclusive, of Parcel Maps, by Parcel Map 7985, Book 44, pages 73, of
Parcel Maps, and by Declaration of Dedication, Instrument No. 108626, recorded September
24, 1971, all are records of the Recorder, Riverside County, California. The County of
Riverside has not previously accepted these offers of dedication for public use, now,
therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on June 10,
2008, that this Board accepts the offers of dedication and recognizes that said road is public
road open for use by the general public;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED that this acceptance
is for the purpose of vesting title in the County of Riverside on behalf of the public for public
road and utility uses, and is not an acceptance of the roads into the County Maintained Road
System pursuant to Section 941 of the-Streets and Highways Code and that said road will not
become part of the County Maintained Road System unless subsequently accepted into said
Maintained Road System by a resolution adopted by this Board;
Said roads are in the County of Riverside, State of California, and described as follows:
PURPLE SAGE TRAIL (See Exhibit "A ")

That portion of Purple Sage Trail (60.00 feet full wide) designated as Lot B of Parcel
Map 3227, recorded in Book 53, pages 55 through 57 inclusive, of Parcel Maps, records of
the Recorder, Riverside County, California, lying in the Northwest quarter of Section 27,
Township 4 South, Range 2 West.
