SUBJECT: Accepting portions of De Portola Road for public road and utility purposes, in the
Temecula area, Third Supervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2008 -199, accepting portions of De Portola
Road for public road and utility purposes, but not into the County Maintained System.
BACKGROUND: The property owners within this area have requested this acceptance in order
to expedite future improvements. This portion of De Portola Road, between East Benton Road
and Glenoaks Road has several segments which have been accepted for public road proposes
but each previously accepted portion is separated by a portion of road that has not been
accepted. This acceptance will fill those gaps and make one continuous portion of accepted
public road.

ACCEPTING PORTIONS OF DE PORTOLA ROAD IN THE TEMECULA AREA,
FOR PUBLIC USE.
(Third Supervisorial District)
WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portions of De Portola Road as shown on maps
hereinafter- referred to, have not been accepted for public use by the County of Riverside,
now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on June 24 ,
2008, that this Board accepts the offer of dedication and recognizes that said road is a public
road open for use by the general public;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED that this acceptance is for
the purpose of vesting title in the County -of Riverside on behalf of the public for public road
and utility uses, and is not an acceptance of this road into the County Maintained Road
System pursuant to Section 941 of the Streets and Highways Code and that said road will
not become part of the County Maintained Road System unless subsequently accepted into
said Maintained Road System by a resolution adopted by this Board;
Said road is in the County of Riverside, State of California, and is described as follows:

DE PORTOLA ROAD
The 55.00 feet of the road easement per Instrument No. 95321 recorded on September
26, 1966 between Glen Oaks Road and Avenida De La Bandolero, also shown on Record of
Survey recorded in Book 56, Page 8, Record of Survey recorded in Book 55, Page 82 and
Record of Survey recorded in Book 57, Page 51, Official Records of Riverside County,
California.
The easterly 55.00 feet of the road easement per Instrument No. 95321 recorded on
September 26, 1966, between the south line of Parcel 1 of Parcel Map 5023, recorded in
Book 8, page 48, and the north line of Parcel 1 of Parcel Map 6337, recorded in Book 17,
page 71, Official Records of Riverside County, California.
A 110.00 feet dedication per Instrument No. 7837 recorded on January 21, 1975,
between the north line of Parcel 1 of Parcel Map 6337, recorded in Book 17, page 71, and
the north line of Lot W of Parcel Map 10733, recorded in Book 54, pages 71 and 72, Official
Records of Riverside County, California.
That portion of De Portola Road (55.00 feet wide) as lots "A" through "C ", inclusive as
shown on Parcel Map No. 10471, recorded Book 59, Pages 77 and 78 of Parcel Maps,
Official Records of Riverside County, California.

ADOPTED by Riverside County Board of Supervisors on June 24, 2008.
