RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2008 -259, summarily vacating a portion of
Galena Street.
BACKGROUND: The condition of approval for the Paver Plant Project, Plot Plan 21472,
requires the vacation of this portion of Galena Street. The west end of this portion of Galena
Street ends at the Union Pacific Railroad right of way and is no longer a part of the Circulation
Element. The two property owners affected are in favor and associated with the project.

SUMMARILY VACATING A PORTION OF GALENA STREET
IN THE PEDLEY AREA

WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portion of Galena Street was established
by the recording of the Map of the Subdivision of a Portion of the Jurupa Rancho,
Book 9, page 26, San Bernardino County, Records of the Recorder of Riverside
County, California;
WHEREAS, that portion of Galena Street established by aforementioned map is
no longer a necessary part of the Circulation Element and not needed for Public Right
of Way, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session
assembled on September 30 , 2008, as follows:
1. Pursuant to Section 8334(a) of the Streets and Highways Code that
the hereinafter - described road, that portion of Galena Street is excess Right -of-
Way, is no longer required for public street and highway purposes, and is
hereby summarily vacated.

7 public utilities and public service facilities, together with the right to maintain, operate,
1, 8 replace, remove, or renew such facilities, pursuant to section 8340 of the Streets and
9 Highways Code.

11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk
12 of the Board is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in
13 the office of the Recorder of the County of Riverside, California.
