CHANGE THE NAMES OF A PORTION OF CENTER STREET TO OLD
HIGHGROVE ROAD AND SPRING STREET TO BLUE MOUNTAIN DRIVE
HIGHGROVE AREA OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY
(FIFTH SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 970.5 of the Streets and Highways Code, a
public hearing after due notice has been held upon a Resolution of intention to change
the names of Center Street, east of Mt. Vernon Avenue to Old Highgrove Road and
Spring Street, east of Mt. Vernon Avenue to Blue Mountain Drive in Riverside
County California, in Section 9, T. 2 S., 4 W., S.B.M., as shown on attached Exhibit
"A °, in the Fifth Supervisorai District; and all persons having had an opportunity to be
heard; now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session
assembled on October 2, 2007 , 2007, that the name of Center Street be
changed to Old Highgrove Road and Spring Street be change to Blue Mountain
Drive.
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk of this
Board shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the
Recorder, Riverside County, California. FORM APPROVED

SUBJECT: Change the Names of Center Street to Old Highgrove Road and Spring Street to
Blue Mountain Drive in the Highgrove area, Fifth Supervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2007 -227, Change the Names of Center
Street to Old Highgrove Road and Spring Street to Blue Mountain Drive.
BACKGROUND: This change is at the request of SMR Ventures, the applicant for Tract
Map 29598 and Tract Map 29.597 and the Riverside County TLMA GIS Division. It is
necessary to avoid address duplication within the development east of Mt. Vernon Avenue.
The Historical Commission has reviewed the proposed street name change and - has no
objection. The adjacent property owners have been notified of the proposed name change.
The Transportation Department sent fifteen (15) letters of which one (1) responded in favor
of the name change, two (2) responded in opposition and twelve (12) property owners did
not respond.
