SUBJECT: Summarily vacating portions of Brumfield Street and Washington Street, in the
French Valley area, Third Su ervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2006 -006, summarily vacating portions of
Brumfield Street and Washington Street.

BACKGROUND: The applicant for tentative Tract 29962, by design is requesting the
vacation of portions of Brumfield Street and Washington Street. The approval of this
vacation prior to the recordation of Tract 29962 is a condition of the map. If this vacation is
not approved the applicant will be required to redesign the tract map. These portions of
Brumfield Street will be incorporated into lots within Tract 29962. As a condition of tentative
Tract 29962 Washington Street will be realigned and constructed between the south project
limit and Keller Road. The adjacent property owners have been notified and no objection
has been made.

SUMMARILY VACATING PORTIONS OF BRUMFIELD STREET AND WASHINGTON
STREET, IN THE FRENCH VALLEY AREA

WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portions of Brumfield Street and Washington
Street were dedicated and accepted for public road and utility purposes by Parcel Map
15090 recorded in Parcel Map Book 93, pages 80 through 82, inclusive, on file in the
Recorders Office of Riverside County, State of California, and;
WHEREAS, the hereinafter- described portions of Brumfield Street and Washington
Street are being superseded by relocation, are not necessary and are excess Right of
Way not required for public street and highway purposes, now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on
April 25 , 2006, as follows:
1. Pursuant to Section 8334(a) of the Streets and Highways Code that the
hereinafter- described portions of Brumfield Street and Washington
Street are excess Right of Way and are no longer required for public
street and highway purposes and are hereby summarily vacated.

SEE LEGAL DESCRIPTION AND PLAT ATTACHED HERETO
AS EXHIBITS "'A" AND "B" AND MADE A PART HEREOF
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the vacation an easement for any existing
public utilities and public service facilities, together with the right to maintain, operate,
replace, remove, or renew such facilities, pursuant to section 8340 of the Streets and
Highways Code.
2. That the herein - described portions of Brumfield Street and Washington
Street are unnecessary for present or prospective public use, including use
as a non - motorized transportation facility.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk of
the Board is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Riverside, California.
