SUBJECT: Summarily vacating a portion of Quebec Drive, in the Sky Valley area, Fourth
Supervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: That the Board adopt Resolution No. 2005 -162, summarily
vacating a portion of Quebec Drive.
BACKGROUND: The property owner adjoining this portion of Quebec Drive has an existing
structure encroaching into the dedicated public road right of way and has requested this
vacation. Quebec Drive is not a general plan road and the abandonment of this portion will
not affect access to any parcels.

9 WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portion of Quebec Drive also know as Lot
10 "B" was dedicated and accepted for public use on Parcel Map No. 19181, recorded in
11 Parcel Map Book 126, Page fig, Official Records Riverside County, California;

13 WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portion of Quebec Drive is excess right of
14 way, and is not required for public street and highway purposes and this vacation will not
15 eliminate access to any parcels; now, therefore;

17 BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
18 the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on
19 November 15 , 2005, as follows:

21 1. That the hereinafter described portion of Quebec Drive is not required for
22 public highway purpose and is pursuant to section 8334(a) of the Streets
23 and Highways Code, hereby summarily vacated:

AS EXHIBITS "A" AND "B" AND MADE A PART HEREOF
2. That the herein - described portion of Quebec Drive is unnecessary for present
or prospective public use, including use as a non - motorized transportation facility.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the vacation an easement for any existing
public utilities and public service facilities, together with the right to maintain, operate,
replace, remove or renew such facilities pursuant to section 8340 of the Streets and
Highways Code;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk of
the Board is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Riverside, California.
