SUBJECT: Summarily vacating Taylor Drive, in the Beaumont area, Third / Fifth
Supervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: That the Board adopt Resolution No. 2002 -189, summarily
vacating Taylor Drive.
BACKGROUND: A golfing community located south of and contiguous to this vacation
is under development in the City of Beaumont.
The portion of Taylor Drive located within the development was vacated by the City of
Beaumont per Instrument No. 2002- 477705, August 28, 2002.
The remaining portion of Taylor Drive is unnecessary and is excess right of way.
The adjoining property owner has requested the vacation in order to incorporate this
portion of Taylor Drive into their property.
This vacation will not eliminate access to any parcels.

9 WHEREAS, the hereinafter described Taylor Drive as shown on file in Book 198,
10 Pages 40 through 46 of Parcel Maps, records of the County Recorder, Riverside County,
11 California, and,

13 WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described Taylor Drive is not part of the circulation element
14 of the General Plan, and that this vacation will not eliminate access to any parcels, and is
15 excess right -of -way, and not required for public street or highway purposes: now therefore,
16
17 BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
18 the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on
19 December 10 , 2002, as follows:

21 1. Pursuant to Section 8334(a) of the Streets and Highways Code the hereinafter
22 described Taylor Drive is excess right -of -way not required for public street and highway
23 purposes and is hereby summarily vacated:

6 EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the vacation any easement for any existing
7 public utilities and public service facilities, together with the right to maintain, operate,
8 replace, remove or renew such facilities, pursuant to Section 8340 of the Streets and
9 Highways Code.

11 2. That the herein - described Taylor Drive is unnecessary for present or prospective
12 public use, including use as a non - motorized transportation facility.

14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk of this
15 Board shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the County
16 Recorder of the County of Riverside, California.
