SUBJECT: Accepting roads for public use and into the County Maintained Road System
in the Woodcrest and Mead Valley areas, First Su ervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION Adopt Resolution 2002 -64 accepting portions of Bert Road
Dauchy Avenue and Kross Road, in the Woodcrest area and portions of Elmwood
Street and Palm Lane, in the Mead Valley area for public use and into the County
Maintained Road System.
BACKGROUND: The improvement of these roads to County Standards has been
completed by County Day Labor as part of the Transportation Improvement Program,
Bert Road, Dauchy Avenue and Kross Road improvements were funded by developer
agreements and homeowner contributions. Elmwood Street improvements were funded
by a community development block grant. Palm Lane improvements were funded by
the Redevelopment Agency.

COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE
ACCEPTING PORTIONS OF BERT ROAD, DAUCHY AVENUE AND KROSS ROAD,
IN THE WOODCREST AREA AND PORTIONS OF ELMWOOD STREET AND PALM
LANE, IN THE MEAD VALLEY AREA FOR PUBLIC USE AND INTO THE COUNTY
MAINTAINED ROAD SYSTEM.
(First Supervisorial District)
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described public roads were offered for dedication for
public road purposes by the maps and documents hereinafter referred to, which offers have
not all been accepted for Public use and none are impart of the County Maintained Road
System, now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on April 30
2002, that this Board accepts the offers of dedication and recognizes that said roads
are public roads open for use by the general public and are formally brought into the County
Maintained Road System;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED that this acceptance
is for the purpose of vesting title in the County of Riverside on behalf of the public for public
roads and utility uses and is an acceptance of the roads into the County Maintained Road
System pursuant to Section 941 of the Streets and Highways Code;

That portion of Bert Road, from Sonny Lane to 2500 feet easterly, as described and
accepted for public use on Resolution No. 83 -85, recorded May 2, 1983, as Instrument No.
83702, and Resolution No. 83 -103, recorded May 11 1983, as Instrument No. 91745, both
records of the Recorder, Riverside County, California.
DAUCHY AVENUE (See Exhibit "A ")
That portion of Dauchy Avenue between Gentian Avenue and Roberts Road, as
described and accepted for public use on Resolution No. 83 -85, recorded May 2, 1983, as
Instrument No. 83702, Resolution No. 83 -103, recorded May 11 1983, as Instrument No.
91745, Easement recorded March 30, 1981, as Instrument No. 55425, and as Lot "C" on
Parcel Map 21959, recorded in Parcel Map Book 141, Page32, all records of the Recorder,
Riverside County, California, and those portions of Lot "F "(not previously accepted for public
use), adjacent to Lots 13 and 29 of Map of Olive Grove Park recorded in Map Book 12, Page
61, records of said Recorder.
