SUBJECT: Accepting a "Flood Control Easement" for public use, in the Riverside area,
First Supervisorial District
RECOMMENDED MOTION: That the Board adopt Resolution No. 2002 -358, accepting a
"Flood Control Easement" for public use, but not into the County Maintained Road
System.
BACKGROUND: The acceptance of the "Flood Control Easement" as shown on Tract
Map 23327 for public use is required for the construction of drainage improvements
associated with the adjacent Tract 29420.

RESOLUTION NO 2002 -358
ACCEPTING A FLOOD CONTROL EASEMENT IN THE RIVERSIDE AREA
FOR PUBLIC USE
(FIRST SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT)
WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described "Flood Control Easement" was offered
for dedication for flood control purposes by Tract Map 23327, recorded in Book 219,
Pages 64 through 68 inclusive, of Tract Maps, records of the Recorder, Riverside
County, California, which offer of dedication has not previously been accepted by
the County, now, therefore,
BE R RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session
assembled on November 5 , 2002, that this Board accepts the offer of
dedication of said "Flood Control Easement" for public use;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that this
acceptance is for the purpose of vesting title in the County of Riverside on behalf of
the public, for flood control purposes and is not an acceptance into the County
Maintained Road System pursuant to Section 941 of the Streets and Highways Code
and that said easement shall not become part of the County Maintained Road
System unless subsequently accepted into said maintained road system by
resolution adopted by this Board;

6 The variable width "Flood Control Easement" as dedicated and shown on Tract Map
7 23327, recorded in Book 219, Pages 64 through 68 inclusive, of Tract Maps, records
8 of the Recorder, Riverside County, California.
9 SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF

11 BE R FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk
12 of this Board shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the
13 Office of the Recorder of Riverside County, California.
