That the Board adopt Resolution No. 2000 -308, summarily vacating a portion of
Center Street.

JUSTIFICATION:
-- That portion of Center Street is excess right of way and is no longer necessary due
to the realignment of Center Street. The right -of -way to be vacated is being utilized
o as a portion of a parking lot for a restaurant. We are vacating and terminating
" maintenance on that portion of Center Street.

9 WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portion of Center Street, was dedicated per
10 Stephens Tract, recorded in Book 22, Page 88 inclusive, of maps, records of the County
11 Recorder, Riverside County, California, and,
12
13 WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portion of Center Street is not part of the
14 circulation element of the General Plan, and that this vacation will not eliminate access to any
i
15 parcels, and is excess right -of -way, and not required for public street or highway purposes:
16 now therefore,

18 BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
19 the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on
20 December 19 , 2000, as follows:
21 1. Pursuant to Section 8334(a) of the Streets and Highways Code the hereinafter
22 described Center Street is excess right -of -way not required for public street and highway
23 purposes and is hereby summarily vacated:

4 public utilities and public service facilities, together with the right to maintain, operate,
5 replace, remove or renew such facilities, pursuant to Section 8340 of the Streets and
6 Highways Code.

8 ALSO EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from the vacation an easement for ingress and
9 egress to maintain the slopes associated with Center Street.

11 2. That the herein - described Center Street is unnecessary for present or prospective
12 public use, including use as a non - motorized transportation facility.

14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk of this
15 Board shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the County
16 Recorder of the County of Riverside, California.
