offers of dedication of Melvin Street for public road and utility purposes.

_U BACKGROUND: Southern California Edison has requested the acceptance of a portion
? of Melvin Street so they can obtain an encroachment permit from the Transportation
Department for the installation of their facilities. The other two lots of Melvin Street as
shown on Parcel Map 12400, have already been accepted.

RESOLUTION NO 2001 -170
ACCEPTING OFFERS OF DEDICATION FOR MELVIN STREET, IN THE SUN CITY
AREA OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY
(THIRD SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT)
WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portions of Melvin Street were offered for
dedication for public road purposes by Parcel Map 12400 on file in Book 60, Page 91 of
Parcel Maps, which offers of dedication have not previously been accepted by the County,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled on
June 12 , 2001, that this Board accepts the offers of dedication and recognizes
that said road is a public road open for use by the general public;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that this acceptance
is for the purpose of vesting title in the County of Riverside on behalf of the public, for public
road and utility uses and is not an acceptance of the road into the County Maintained Road
System pursuant to Section 941 of the Streets and Highways Code and that said road shall
not become a part of the County Maintained Road System unless subsequently accepted into
said maintained road system by resolution adopted by this Board;
Said road is in the County of Riverside, State of California, and is described as follows:
