SUBJECT: Summarily vacating a portion of Restricted Abutters Rights of Access along
Rancho Califomia Road, in the Temecula Area
Third 5wervisorial District.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
That the Board adopt Resolution No. 98 -003, summarily vacating a portion of
restricted abutters rights of access along Rancho California Road.
JUSTIFICATION:
The land owner is requesting a 30 foot access opening in the restricted
abutters rights of access. This will enable him to relocate his access to a safer
and more desirable location farther away fro a street intersection and a
vertical curve in the road. A

SUMMARILY VACATING A PORTION OF RESTRICTED ABUTTERS RIGHTS
OF ACCESS ALONG RANCHO CALIFORNIA ROAD,
IN THE TEMECULA AREA

(THIRD SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT)
WHEREAS, the restricted abutters rights of access along Rancho California Road was
established by the recording of Parcel Map14121, on file in Book 76, pages 65 and 66,
records of the Recorder, Riverside County, California; and,
WHEREAS, the hereinafter - described portion of restricted abutters rights of access for
parcel 2 of said map is not necessary and is excess interest.
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Riverside, State of California, in regular session assembled
on January 6 , 1996, as follows:
1. Pursuant to Section 8334(a) of the Streets and Highways code that the hereinafter
described abutters restricted rights of access is an excess interest in the named right -of -way
that is not required for highway purposes and is hereby summarily vacated:

HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A" AND MADE A PART HEREOF
2. That the herein described portion of the County Highway is unnecessary for present
or prospective public use, including use as a non - motorized transportation facility.

A 30.00 foot portion of the abutters access restriction along Rancho California
Road at Parcel 2 of Parcel Map 14121, as shown by map on file in Book 76, Pages 65
and 66, of Parcel Maps, Records of Riverside County, California, also lying within
Section 24, T.7S., R.2 W., San Bernardino Meridian, also being a portion of the
Rancho Pauba, as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest comer of said Parcel Map 14121, which point is also
the intersection of the centerline of Rancho California Road and the centerline of
Glenoaks Road; thence South 47 41'34" West along the centerline of Rancho
California Road, a distance of 484.71 feet;
Thence South 42 18' 39" East a distance of 55.00 feet, to a point on the
southeasterly right -of -way line of Rancho California Road;
Thence South 47 41'34" West along said southeasterly right -of -way line of
Rancho California Road, a distance of 135.00 feet, to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING, which is the beginning of a 30.00 foot long access opening;
Thence, continuing South 47 41' 34 " West along said southeasterly fine
of Rancho California Road, a distance of 30.00 feet to a point which is the southerly
end of the access opening.
