For survey of tracts, lots, allotments and sub-
division of sections , see supplemental plats
sheets 2,3 and 4.
This plat of resurvey of T -4 S.,R.4 E.,deline-
ates a retracement and reestablishment of the
lines of the original survey as shown on plats
approved Feb .29,1856, April 10,1886 and Octal,
1695 in their true original position, according
to the best available evidence of the position
of the original corners; all differences between
the measurements shown on the original plats and
those derived in the retracement have been dis-
tributed proportionally between accepted corners
in accordance with surveying rules;reference will
be made to the original plats for the showing of
the areas and more detailed descriptions of the
various smaller subdivisions, except where the
areas of tracts and Lots have been excluded, in
which case the resultant areas, with new lot -num-
bers, are sbown on sheets 2 and 3.
These resurveys and subdivisional surveys are
made for allotment purposes within the Agua Cal -
iente Mission Indian Reservation..
Tracts 37 to 42 inel., were surveyed for the
purpose of covering existing improvements that
could not be satisfactorily covered by legal,sub-
divisions. Tract 43 visa surveyed for the purpose
of covering an Indian cemetery.
Lots adjacent to Palm Springs Townsite, were
surveyed for the purpose of allowing each Indian
a 2 acre lot.
