This plat represents a retracement and reestablishment
of a portion of the south boundary, east boundary, and a
portion of the subdivisional lines, and the meander lines
designed to restore the corners in their true original loca-
tion according to the best available evidence; the areas and
designations are as shown on the plats approved December 28,
1874 and May 22, 1879.
The south boundary, a portion of the east boundary, and
a portion of the subdivisional lines and the meander lines
of T. 5 S., R. 23 E., S. B. M., California were surveyed by
0. P. Calloway in 1874.
A portion of the east boundary and a portion of the sub-
divisional lines were surveyed by W. F. Benson in 1879.
A portion of the lines surveyed by Benson was resurveyed
by W. J. Lightfoot in 1916.
Dependent resurvey of a portion of the south boundary, the
east boundary, a portion of the subdivisional lines, and the
meander lines of T. 5 S., R. 23 E., S. B. M., California,
executed by Roger F. Wilson, February 24 to March 28, 1958,
under Special Instructions dated February 17, 1958, which pro-
vide for the surveys included under Group 445, California.
