Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control Measures are required for grading operations scheduled from October 15th to April 15th. Approved Temporary Erosion Control Plans are required for grading projects involving more than five acres or when deemed necessary by the Construction Engineer. 2. Emergency contact person and phone numbers will be issued at the pre—construction meeting. 3. The Construction Engineer shall supervise the Erosion and Sediment Control work to ensure that the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) as part of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) is being implemented. 4. Necessary materials for the construction of BMP for SWPPP shall be made available on— site and shall be stockpiled at convenient locations to facilitate rapid construction of temporary devices when rain is imminent. 5. Devices (i.e. silt fences and sandbags) shall not be moved or modified without the approval of Project Construction or Design Engineer. 6. All removable protective devices shown on this plan shall be in place at the end of each working day when rain is predicted. 7. After a rainstorm, the contractor shall remove all silt and debris from asphalt berms, check berms, silt fences and desllting basins, etc. and dispose of them outside the project limits or reuse them on the project as approved by the Project Construction Engineer. 8. At the conclusion of each working day, pollutants on graded areas within the project limit shall be contained at the project site. 9. The contractor shall be responsible and take necessary precaution to prevent public trespass onto the areas where impounded water creates a hazardous situation. 10. Desilting basins when required are to be constructed prior to commencement of grading. 11. The County Construction Engineer or his designee reserves the right to make changes or modifications to the Erosion and Sediment Control Plans as deemed necessary. 12. All erosion and sediment control works shall conform to the standard specifications of the State of California Department of Transportation, Edition of July 1992 and construction project special provisions. In the event of conflict, the decision of the County's Construction Engineer will prevail. 13. Furnishing and applying water shall conform to the provisions of Section 17 of the standard specifications. 14. Silt fence or equivalent must be installed per manufacturers' recommendations and shall conform to all requirements of County of Riverside Transportation and Land Management Agency and as stated in the SWPPP for this project. = 15.
